Steps
1) Download Cablenut from http://www.student.ipfw.edu/~gottjl0...ablenut408.exe
2) Find out your up/down time in Kb/s (Kilobits per sec). You can contact your ISP for this or visit http://www.speakeasy.net/speedtest/
3) Run tracert command while downloading a file. The file must be large enough to constantly be downloading for the duration of the tracert process. Look at the latency times and remember the largest one.
4) Now visit http://www.j79zlr.com/cablenutXP2k.php if your a WinXP/2000 user or http://www.j79zlr.com/cablenutME98.php if you are using Win95/98/ME Enter your up/down speed and your longest latency time and click "compute settings" and download the CCS file to your PC.
5) Now install cablenut if you haven't done so already and then use cablenut to back up your registry settings.
6) Now open your custom CCS file you made from step 4 and then apply the settings. Now your DONE!
Thats it this little trick improved my download time by 150 kb/s and my upload time by 25kb/s. Hope it works for you as well too.
